Wall Street Protesters Plan to Stay Awhile; Zuccotti Park Dubbed Liberty Plaza
NEW YORK, NY - At Liberty Plaza in NYC (known to others as Zuccotti Park), protesters awoke on day three tired, cold, and with a strong police presence, but they were still occupying Wall Street. They were able to march in the financial district, even attracting more people. The peaceful protests started on Saturday September 17, 2011 - a Day of Rage against corporations and banks. Operation Occupy Wall Street peaked around 1,000 people according to some reports, and the numbers since then have fluctuated.
At least seven people were arrested since the demonstrations began on Saturday. According to Bloomberg, four demonstrators were arrested for wearing masks in violation of a law that bars two or more participants from doing so, and one was arrested for jumping a police barrier and resisting arrest.
Paul Browne, a police spokesman, also said in an email statement that two masked protesters were arrested Saturday for trying to enter a building used by Bank of America Corporation.
On Monday, nearly 200 protesters marched along Wall Street and other parts of the financial district from Liberty Plaza. They carried American flags and signs denouncing large corporations. At least five of them were arrested.

The Guardian in the UK wrote that Wall Street protesters wereover-educated, under-employed and angry.
Local media were mixed on their feelings about the peaceful protests, with some more snarky than others in their reporting.
There have been reports of problems with keeping the livestream of events going, although efforts have been made to keep it up.
