Senate leaders close to finishing deal
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell are finalizing a deal to avert a debt default and reopen the government, capping a frantic day that had Washington bracing for an economic crisis of its own making.

Real cuts, I agree, but they want to focus on cutting what we paid for, because they spent the funds on other things, so now it's broken.
The focus should be on real cuts that matter, like cutting the size of the federal government and all the phony overreaching departments they have created, the federal government is the biggest employer in the US most of its workers are over paid and there perks are outrages and the rest of us get the bill.
