Donald Trump jumped 16 months backward in time on Thursday, boasting on Twitter that his ragtag presidential campaign defeated Hillary Clinton's better organized, better funded and more experienced organization. 

'Remember when they were saying, during the campaign, that Donald Trump is giving great speeches and drawing big crowds, but he is spending much less money and not using social media as well as Crooked Hillary’s large and highly sophisticated staff,' he recalled in a tweet.

'Well, [they're] not saying that anymore!'

It's unclear what made Trump return to his campaign fighting form, but one possibility is the coming publication date of a look-back book written by Clinton's campaign communications director.
