JFK was going to dismantle the CIA, and replace it with an accountable Intelligence Service; he was also going to retire J. Edgar Hoover; these were two among many reasons he was assassinated (others include LBJ wanting his job; JFK's intention to stop Israel getting nuclear weapons; doing away with the Federal Reserve; decision to end the Vietnam War; Mafia idea that he had 'double-crossed' them; Miami Cubans' hate for him not backing the 'Bay of Pigs' invasion with US forces; his intent to properly tax the oil companies; forces in the Pentagon who were incensed at his sacking Lyman Lemnitzer from the Joint Chiefs because of Northwoods plans; his accepting peace feelers from Castro: that's all I can think of for the time being.

we don't need SECRET anything anymore ~ only our enemies do things in secret~  CIA gotta go too

The  CIA does not really collect intellgence to protect the citizens of the USA it all about assasinations , subversion and the destruction of soverign nations  and creating wars for profit, drug dealing and child trafficking and the list of crimes goes on
