As expected, Ron Paul supporters have been excoriating me via email and all over the Internet because I brought up his vote to allow sexual deviants to openly serve in our military in this column. Nothing new. This Ron Paul supporter says I'm "sort of an embarrassment" because of my firm belief that what God says is His word and I will not "set aside" God for any candidate. Before Al Gore the Mississippi River ran backward
- There were temporary river waterfalls where the Mississippi ran backwards during 1811-12 earthquakes. It happened early on Feb. 7, 1812, when a thrust fault created a sudden dam several feet high in the bottom of the river loop near New Madrid.
