Meaningless Wedding Band
Light a candle in my room
Perhaps the flame will chase away the gloom
When it comes to love never assume
That two flowers will always stay in bloom,
And if that weren't enough
My bedroom's still full of all her stuff
For being a woman she was pretty tough
But her edges were way too rough,
Holding this tarnished ring in my hand
Just a meaningless wedding band
We were building castles made of sand
Until the ocean rushed up onto the land,
Love what did you do to me?
Everything I had is washed out to sea,
Why are so many people all alone?
Sad and bitter to the bone
There are times I can still hear her moan
I'm standing at the shore just skipping stones,
Watch out whenever you expose your heart
There's always the ever present poison dart
Today broken hearts are off the charts
Destined to be abandoned right from the start,
Little solace in a glass of wine
The best anesthetic I can find
Not unlike that daily grind
Once she made up her stubborn mind,
Love what did you do to me?
Everything I had is washed out to sea,
Love what was the point of it
Now all my demons are chomping at the bit.

Central Scrutinizer I thought Nirvana was a refreshing new sound-loved'em of course didn't help that Courtney got Kurt's head blown off with a shotgun. I like Alice in Chains and that LP Temple of the Dog. Music today is just trash made for Snowflakes and Ghetto bangers. I'll never forget meeting Dave Mason of Traffic at the World Theater in Austin. Great guitarist Dude played with Traffic, Fleetwood Mac, and had a damn fine solo career too. Anywho!

ohhhhellzbellz.. shitN2 are 8 brudda..... a BIG OOOOPS, & a "me so sorry bout dat" couz... sincere apologies & my bad Doc, I now see you're meaning physical JEWlery here .... as in that corporate created status symbol of high-$$ gold & diamonds to show that perma-ankle chained wrecking-ball you got legally obligated to while intoxicated, that it'll be permanently chained to your ankle always, & forever, with your growing, eternal debt....errr.... Love, I meant ;) ...gotcha

Damn str8... I've played in 2 or 3 pitiful meaningless wedding bands....and ohh hell yeah they were not only meaningless, but torturous too with some sorry suck-ass set lists to drudge through while wearing an uncomfortable penguin suit, feigning interest in any of the whole affair. I Hated it badly... but did 'em anyway's (& 1 Senator's ball in DC once) Why???
BECAUSE THE FARGIN $MONEY$ AND THE CATERING WAS TOP-SHELF & WORTH IT 4 TIMES OVER!!! Hardest part took no time, (load/unload/setup my drums)... then to wedding music pop-pke so-slack, so ez., I dont even break sweat, & would drink a beer in 1 hand, play song w/ other, 4 hours tops, ..I'd wake up next morn with anywhere from $1200-$2000, along with eating way too much top-O-line food catering (most times) from paradise ... sorta like being single huh???
