A man’s entire existence is teetering on the sharp and unforgiving cusp of absolute peril. He may be suicidal or possibly homicidal, and each day he balances himself on this nearing precipice, he grows dangerously close to collapsing in on himself. He is mentally disturbed, and someone, anyone, with an advanced degree of psychotherapy must intervene, pronto.

This wretched soul has been engulfed by a twisted psychosis of his own making and languishes in this awful prison until he receives treatment. Moving forward, this pathetic affront to normalcy shall be warmly referred to as Patient 22.

Patient 22

It seems that those who oscillate among the highest echelon have conferred and with only a slight rebuke, have recommended the following: the only humane solution for 22 is to indulge his delusion and for everyone to pretend he’s OK.

It seems that Patient 22 feels his male body, appendage and all, has held him hostage since he was a creepy little kid. Although the proper protocol in addressing this situation of body dysmorphia calls for an impartial professional to advise, in 22’s case, it is he who will prescribe what measures will be taken.

Patient 22 has convened with his life partner in the serene climate of his safe space, and they’ve concluded he’s a woman who's trapped inside a man’s body. Now, common sense dictates that 22 hasn’t an inkling of what it’s like to be a female, and considering so is an affront to legitimate femininity.

Only a few short Presidential Administrations ago, patient 22’s preposterous assertion would have elicited innate repulsion and insensitive laughter. It seems that the generations subsequent to Gen-X have veered sharply off the rails and stare bewildered when asked, “What is a woman?”  Instead of a course correction and dire warning to the population for this perilous detour, it’s been uploaded to MapQuest.

If the majority of the Western population continues to coddle this specific mental disorder or any other, we will all reap the whirlwind. Western sensibilities and a compassionate people, routinely spurn the ire of those in the trans movement. Ironically, but the West is their only safe refuge, and these frail-boned beings couldn’t exist outside of an insulated environment, sadly even in some places around the United States.

With that said, Patient 22 and thousands like him will require that the other 300 million of us alter our reality to align with their fragile psyches. We must unwind thousands of years of survival mechanisms, evolution and legislate new procedures to accommodate the micro-fringe groups within our populace.
