I told someone this weekend that one of two things will happen in 2011. And believe me, I hope I'm wrong about this. One, the United States will collapse, much like the USSR did in 1991. Or two, the country remains but will be radically altered.

Look at the political landscape, even with the untrained eye, and you can catch a glimpse of the change ahead. President Obama got upstaged by the last Democratic POTUS, Bill Clinton, in a jaw dropping news conference late Friday afternoon. It was Clinton who looked as if he was the leader of the free world, turning the clock back to circa 1995. Barack Obama looked like a menial lackey, having to leave the press conference with the excuse of having to go to a Christmas party. The current leader of the free world walked away in seeming disgrace.

Then all one had to do is turn on C-SPAN 2 and catch the eight long plus filibuster of Bernie Sanders, Independent but leaning liberal senator of Vermont, go on a long diatribe against Obama's tax deal with the Republicans which the Democratic rank and file must view as a coup d'etat. Sanders railed against how the infrastructure of the United States has collapsed like a taco eaten from the wrong direction. And he is somewhat correct, although both parties are guilty of this. And so that power struggle will go on, and as we've seen before, Mr. Obama, if not the Federal Reserve, will make sure those who question will do as they are told, even if it takes a sudden 1,000 point plunge in the Dow Jones to do this.

We now have the government positioning themselves for whatever kind of collapse or alteration occurs in 2011, and doing so to keep the people in some kind of draconian control. Notice the TSA/DHS and what they have done lately. If you fly, they will scan you. If you don't fly, pretty soon they will scan you whenever you travel and however you travel. It's like playing Monopoly with a hotel on EVERY space. You pay no matter the roll of the dice. You either cooperate or face the consequences. That, friends, is NOT America, but an American version of Nazi Germany.

Now we have the spectacle of DHS going into your favorite Wal-Mart and asking you to say something if you see something. Again, the DHS commissars own all the possible reactions you can take. Boycott Wally World? They'll just camp out at Target, or CVS, or Walgreens, or whatever your store of choice is. They have the Executive Orders to control anything and everything.

And by the way, I've personally asked on the US Homeland Security You Tube page two questions: what is suspicious activity, and what is it we are supposed to see? Would you all be surprised if I told you I haven't gotten an answer as of yet?

The unemployment situation in this country, which they say is at almost 10% but is probably at least 20%, is another example of where the governments owns all the solutions with all possible reactions. Don't go looking for work, or can't find it? The government will cut off your unemployment. Wanna work? Good for you...but oh gee, the price for food is going up, so you're trip to the grocery store will cost more and more. As will the gas you'll need to move around.

Yes, it is easy to get frustrated over all of this. But the key is not to allow yourself to get in that mindset. They will try to wear us down, make no mistake about it. Resistance is victory.
