Hello all, a message about the PUBLIC chat rooms

The public chat room is a democracy, If there are people in the chat that you find offensive, you may click the flag button next to their message .
The flag, key if clicked by enough people, not sure how many it takes, will temporarily ban them.

PS Instead of leaving, or just complaining, use the flag option, or take over the chat by steering the direction of the discussion. If we work together we can make the chat a better place.
I have often thought of killing the public chat, however, there has been a few times when we found new members for the site through that chat. Or some just come there to ask for further help in a researching a subject.
The chat is also embedded on a few other sites where our message can be seen.
So for now it stays.
I do ask that the chats be kept to as professional of a standard when possible.
ALSO PLEASE CONSIDER MOVING YOUR NON SITE RELATED CHATS
TO THE OLD CHAT ROOM

Sorry to say this and I hope it isn't taken the wrong way. but when I type I have to look at my keyboard and can't keep up with you other folks. I also have arthritis and tendinitis in both my wrist from using for-arm crutches. So I know my slowness could be a dissruption like the time I was banned from a chat room here as I was unable to keep up with the text to see the comments to not use my mike. So I won't dirupt anymore chat session because I'll never join another one so now there is one less bone head to mess things up and the rules that are posted here don't say anything about not using your mike. Sorry; but like I said I won't disrupt another session. I blame no-one except my wrists. Best to you and everyone else on the site and may you come up with some productive ideas to help others survive. Peace.

Unfortunately from what I've seen few people in the chat room have read the rules you've so kindly posted Patriot Horse.
The reason I never, or rarely participate in the chat is because the subject matter is often very typically juvenile, or worse, filled with unsubstantiated claims and at times utter nonsense.
There are those rare moments when value can be found there but they're few and far between.

You are correct, it is a sign of a weak mind. I like most people do swear but show some respect for others in the chat room, or for those visiting the site.
