In love with an apparition for sure

My motives I assure you are pure

She cries celestial tears they are the cure

Question is, how much more can I endure?

It all began after a long period of loneliness

Perhaps it was all due to the stress

When suddenly I came into contact with her highness

She emerged from the shadows overcoming her shyness,

She was as cold as the mist lying across the moors

She seemed as cold as winter’s icy shores

Yet, she was a banshee I could adore

What else did she have for me in store?

She revealed herself to me as if sculpted in thin air

Perfectly aligned translucent hair

Eyes that shined from a panther’s lair

I couldn’t help myself but stare,

Flowing in the nocturnal air above my despair

In love with a ghost what a dare

Most mortals would be absolutely scared

But I had love I needed to share,

I tried to touch her and my hand went right through

She shimmered in the moonlight with eyes of blue

Then she said, "I know what we can do.”

I’ll come to you in your dreams just for you

“There will be nothing we can’t pursue.”

And I entered into something most consider taboo,

This kind of joy known by so few

We were united far from the world's imposing view,

Like shooting stars piercing the night

Through the darkness but instead we were light

No waking nightmares, arguments, or fights

Ironically, it took a spirit to hold me tight.
