Alien to This World

I didn’t ask to be brought here

In the midst of all this fear

I’m alien to your corruption is that clear?

Alien to most of what I see and hear,

I didn’t ask to brought from the spiritual land

Perhaps I forgot about the creator’s plan

All I know is the frailty of man

I just can’t tell you when it all began,

Lost in the moment a lifetime in waste

Couldn’t keep up with the lies too fast paced

Trapped by the very illusions I chased

Now I’m ridiculed for the votes that I’ve placed,

The bloodshed of humanity and still we go on

Been that way since the first early dawn

Don’t ask me where she is for she is gone

I lay wounded from a gunshot on a bloody lawn,

Life was a constant pursuit of a dream

Constantly changing until running out of steam

I learned very quickly things aren’t what they seem

Little did I expect all the deception and schemes,

Only the little children so pure of heart

The ones who make their simple forms of art

The love they need might be a world apart

Revelations they couldn’t have known from the start.
