An open letter to a friend about Obamacare - Original Article.

This is a question I received by email from a close friend of mine after we had been talking on the phone about the ballistic reaction by the MSM to the "town hall gun nut" - and my response of course.

Subject: Confusion..

Back a couple months ago, you were saying that the "tea parties" were corporate sponsored BS sessions.

Why do you feel different about the townhalls where everyone is bashing the Cronies over health care?

Not picking a fight just curious,,,

___________________________________________________________________________________

I don't feel much different about these events at all. I think there are both people with valid concerns AND wingnut lunatics of the same stripe as were at the tea parties. Only this time there are the same types of feeble minded sycophants on both sides being brought together and into conflict. Agree or disagree with whatever though a man still has a right to open carry in the vicinity of one,.. period.

What I really think is:

Many of the arguments against Obamacare, death panels and such, are EXACTLY what we are already getting from private insurance so that shit is ridiculous.

On the other hand, with eugenicists in high places every paranoid fantasy has a very real chance of becoming reality no matter how the bill reads despite some of the right wing rhetoric (and left wing responses) being completely retarded.

The bill will be a disaster, simply because it is essentially written by big pharma and insurance, and will likely benefit a few (at best) in return for a giant bailout of the pharma and insurance industries even though they hardly need one, want evidence? Well the pharmaceutical companies are rolling out a joint $150,000,000 ad campaign supporting it (http://informationclearinghouse.info/article23241.htm) - end of story.

In any case there is no sane basis for national health care since health care is not specifically enumerated in the constitution and is therefore one of those things that is reserved to the states and the people, only the shipping of medicines and other interstate commerce in medical equipment and services is legally under the jurisdiction of the feds. When it comes right down to it I'm really not that interested in the details because it is an illegal clusterfuckfest no matter what side of the false left/right paradigm you may decide to dangle your tootsies on.

I really do not need to know the details of the bill in order to be certain about all of this. The bill is shit, it's advocates are full of shit and it's detractors are full of shit as well. Just a big steaming pile of shit no matter how you hold it up to the light or what angle you look at it from.

The only reason it exists at all right now is because it is a wonderful wedge issue to keep the left and the right fighting each other instead of surrounding DC in unison with torches and pitchforks. Would any sane person really try REAL healthcare reform at the beginning of what promises to be a very long depression without some ulterior motive (remember they know the economy is fucked even if they won't admit it in public). I think not, and it stands to reason that there is another motive that being the case. Divide and conquer bitches, it works on the sucker ass public every fucking time and THIS is the shit to which people REALLY have to awaken to rather than just individual subjects no matter how important they may be.

And why the fuck do they need to have all these town halls in the first place? To promote democracy or actually listen to what people have to say? Fat fucking chance. It's a wonderful way to inflame emotions and stir the pot though. If all of our energy is spent on beating each other up over a relative non-issue like this then the establishment need never again worry about accountability for war crimes, illegal surveilance of citizens, torture rape of prisoners, and well, just a shitload of things that any sane person should agree is important whether left or right. Please pay attention to my right hand holding the magic wand says the magician, DON'T pay attention to my left hand which is pulling out the rabbit which has been suffocating between my ass cheeks for the last half hour.

I'd love to see true single payer healthcare instituted properly and legally by the state of Washington. Obama on the other hand can lick my uninsured/untreated hemorrhoids.

Hi,
The facts are really simple. It is the lies that get us all confused. Everybody should realize that whatever the end point is in health care "reform" it has already been decided. The arguments that are popularized are simply a way for Americans to think they actually made a decision. Insurance is a TAX! Its that simple, and whether you pay it to a corporation or a corporatocracy you are giving way more than you are getting or they wouldn't DO IT!
All of us are one brief second away from injury, disease personally or within our family, and unless your last name is Rockefeller or one of the other chosen ones, you will spend the next and maybe last year of your life in anger and frustration as your claims will be delayed, denied, reevaluated and soon the bureaucrats, be they government or corporate, will put you on hold, make you listen to horrendous brain twisting MUZAK, and then hang up on you.
A wise man once told me the difference between the Democrats and Republicans: If you are drowning in the lake and a Republican is on the beach, he will yell," Swim, you can do it! " A Democrat on the beach will throw you a rope and let go of their end.

Yeah, quite possibly, the second biggest, "hey, look over there" ,ever . You never hear anyone address the issue of your actual "health", All sides are mostly fighting to protect their finances.
You can't fix one broken system by replacing it with another broken system. if we're going to fix the system, we have to come up with something that actually addresses the root cause of disease in America.

The top 10 things missing from Obama's health care reform plan and often absent from the debate (by: Mike Adams):

#1) Ending the FDA's suppression of natural cures and safe, effective nutritional supplements.
#2) Initiating a real investment in public education to teach people about how to prevent disease with nutrition.
#3) Ending Big Pharma's monopoly on drug prices and drug patents (not to mention patents on human genes and animals).
#4) Restoring the ability for local doctors to practice local medicine without being controlled from bureaucrats in Washington.
#5) Cracking down on junk food advertising, soda advertising and pharmaceutical ads that convince people to purchase products that will only harm them.
#6) Banning dangerous chemical ingredients that cause diseases in the first place aspartame, MSG, sodium nitrite, etc.)
#7) A real effort to improve school lunches and serve food that's nutritious instead of food that's cheap and convenient.
#8) Ending bizarre food subsidies on crops like corn that end up making high-fructose corn syrup the cheapest sweetener for manufacturers to use.
#9) Affirming health freedom for parents who wish to opt out of the current system of forced vaccinations and gunpoint-enforced chemotherapy.
#10) Requiring honest food labeling where irradiated and GMO foods are clearly labeled as such

You're right on Marklar, any which way you look at the left or the right hand in this health reform debate.....they both forgot to wipe their asses and their hands are dirty! I believe that the whole system of health care needs to be revamped completely and all of us as Americans have to get out of the left/right stupor, quit fighting amongst ourselves and go after the real culprits of deception in DC....most of the lot!
