Full of Artifacts and Scars
Just keep the world outside
The very thing from which you hide
Where the truth is always denied
Where violence never subsides,
In this place where we remain
Trying to escape all this pain
Perhaps our love won’t be in vain
We’ll just meet out in the rain,
Oh my sweet Darling Jill
You seemed to be such a thrill
Drunk and drooling at the bar and grill
Your screams were surprisingly shrill,
How I marveled at its construction
I made my brilliant deductions
It flew by itself without instructions
Thought it was of extraterrestrial production,
While observing the planet Mars
Distant but not as far off as the stars
A landscape full of artifacts and scars
No official communication so far,
Oh my petite little Marie
You promised you would set me free
Yet our dream was not to be
You went missing in all that debris,
Mysteries so numerous yet ignored
It’s not like we with brains are so bored
As presented by the intergalactic accord
Her stunning alien face I so adored,
It was just another false flag
The airborne object that dropped slag
Killed my dog before his tail could wag
The object expelled a gas that made me gag,
A tall dark creature in the woods
I don’t believe it but I should
Could it be evil could it be good?
Is Sasquatch just misunderstood?
Since I gave up my wicked ways
Seems that I’m lamenting everyday
They say for forgiveness you need to pray
I assure you I do that everyday.
