How? How Can We Allow This?
Throughout the world, on any given day, a man, woman or child is likely to be displaced, tortured, killed or "disappeared", at the hands of the United States government or armed political groups sponsored by the United States government.
Years upon years of US and global history document very clearly that the CIA has been directly responsible for the murder of 100s of 1000s of innocent men, women and children across the globe in almost every country on the planet while attempting to overthrow democratically elected governments.
Even if we disagree with the policies of those governments and even if those governments hold questionable policies, is it our responsibility to police the globe while abrogating the human and civil rights of so many human beings?
No. It surely isn't.
The United States, in my lifetime, has become the global juggernaut of murder and mayhem dispensing ill-conceived judgment, acting as judge, jury and executioner without civility.
These deeds have been carried out in the name of Americans, in my name, without my consent, without the consent of any of us.
In my name, we are murdering people across the globe.
It is unconscionable. We are murderers, whether we choose to be or not. We are complicit, whether we like it or not.
We should have great difficulty sleeping, eating and carrying on our daily lives.
We don't. Shame on us all.
BUT, shame on the Congress, the President, Mr. Obama, shame on the House, the Senate, the military, and each and every one of us. Shame on us all.

Yes Jeff, we are all complicit for falling asleep at the wheel and allowing such wreckage and destruction of humanity in our names. I also believe that the only individuals we have control over are ourselves, we can not control the thoughts or actions of others, it is up to them to lead or be led ultimately!
We have seen over and over again societies being duped, mislead, dumbdowned, oppressed, ect....knowingly or unknowingly and the consequences have always been the same.... a loss of individual liberty, power, soul and the will to think for themselves. This is the recipe for building an empire! When most of society is drunk on stupid it's easy for the elites to come in and rape the body, spirit and mind of the populace, leaving only empty vessels unable to discern what is the truth or what is right or wrong anymore. The elites so far have done a great job keeping people in the dark since the dawn of time!
We have become the Roman Empire of yesterday but as all empires go, they come crashing down upon themselves over time. It is up to us to pick up the wreckage, get back in the drivers seat, never fall asleep at the wheel again and become leaders of conscience, truth, love and peace! Yes, history has a way of repeating itself over and over and over again doesn't it?

No, we tried harsh language, it didn't seem to have the desired impact, but realistically, 1,000,000 Americans holding their bank accounts in their hands would surely possess more power than the CIA, Congress, the Senate, the President, the Army, the Navy, the Marines and the Air Force combined. Truly, the answer is in how we hold our money and holding in the banks is where we've all failed as a nation.

I agree. As I said before...telling other countries how to run their governments makes as much sense as my walking across the street and telling you to stop watching TV and go clean your room.
It seems to me that we can either (how did you put it?) keep living in shame OR....do something different.... How do you suggest we stop the CIA? Harsh language?
