Have you ever been driving down a country road and seen a cow with its head and neck extended through a barbed wire fence grazing on the grass on the other side? Even though the grass is just as good on the cow’s side of the fence, this animal will actually risk injury from the barbed wire, and often does in the process of sticking out its neck to eat the same grass already within inches. What does that say about the cow’s nature and the truth of the situation? It says that the cow simply does not appreciate what it already has and is actually willing to hurt itself in order to sample the same food it already has. For us as humans you could say the same thing that we are always more attracted to what lies on the other side of the fence even though what we already have is good enough. This simple parable illustrates a fervent frailty in human nature that we are no better than cows when it comes to being able to appreciate what we already have.

We're no better than cows

When it comes to Americans and their ability to appreciate the freedoms already guaranteed to them through the US Constitution, I’m afraid we, once again, are on the same footing as cows, unable to accept the liberties granted to us by God and our founders. Perhaps the individual rights we have are taken for granted because we don’t know what its like anymore to have to fight for them. Perhaps, just like a cow, longing for something just because it seems better than what it already has, we Americans think another system of government will work better than the Constitutional republic that we were raised in. Hence, the election of one Barack Hussein Obama, a President of questionable integrity and allegiance to this nation.

The people should know better and don't

This bromide involving an animal that would willfully injure itself simply to sample what it already has within easy reach also parallels the current state of America and her citizens. People, who should know better, and trust the freedoms they have, are willing to allow those individual rights to be compromised by big government, the overreach of an out of control bureaucracy, and the confiscation of our hard earned cash to be distributed to those who are here illegally or simply don’t want to work. If this comparison sounds vague to you, then maybe you are part of the problem. Maybe you need to seriously consider just what actually is going on in an America that is rapidly declining under a president that many people do not trust.

Obama is a symptom of deeper problems

The problem we have is not only with President Obama, a judicial system that refuses to prosecute him, or a Congress that knowingly allows this highest executive officer to break the law while doing nothing to stop him, it is us! We Americans have been asleep at the wheel for too long. We have trusted elected officials to look out for our best interests, trusted them to look after the safety and security of our nation, and assumed that the US would be in good hands as we went about our self serving lives. Guess what happened? As we slept, drank in front of the TV, and allowed our public schools to fill our children’s heads with radical political ideology, our children couldn’t even decipher between Communist doctrine and the virtues of a free society as exists in America.

Government policy destroys US business

As a result of our poor assumptions, our Senators and Congressmen made deals to get rich while in office so that corporations could sell us products made in other countries that are substandard according to American quality, but made cheaply enough to make more money for American makers. We have allowed government to continually raise taxes until we can barely afford to live, while American corporations are forced to move their operations overseas to friendlier tax havens. So, the quality of life here in the US has become less, more costly, and our rights are now under direct assault!

Selling out America right from under our noses

That’s not the worst of it, my fellow countrymen, for right now as we speak, a President supposedly elected by the people, even with evidence of massive voter fraud allowed by the Department of Justice, is now selling off this country lock, stock, and barrel! What am I talking about, you ask? I’m talking about three of the most treasonous acts that should never have been able to stand the light of day, and all of them have been signed, sealed, and delivered by your president, a man that the American people blindly, and stupidly elected.

What are these grave perils that I’m talking about?

1) President Obama signed Agenda 21.

2) President Obama signed the LOST Treaty.

3) The Chinese will be allowed to confiscate US property in exchange for the US debt sold to them as a result of the US government’s insatiable appetite for spending more than it takes in despite higher taxes, despite worthless paper money printing, despite the looming fiscal crisis that could create social unrest and even civil war.

The fruition of apathy and leftist arrogance

These are the perils that await Americans for being lazy, apathetic, and irresponsible enough to allow their elected officials to illegally compromise this country. This must be the greener grass that we have injured ourselves over in order to reach through the barbed wire and partake of, when we already had the freedoms and liberties afforded to us here, paid for by the blood of so many young men and women who willingly gave their lives for us so that we could enjoy sharing in a great society. Yet, that just wasn’t enough for too many of us. No, we just had to see and tasted the bitterness for ourselves just what it would be like to lose those freedoms we took for granted. We just had to see what the rest of the world suffers with under the lies and illusions of Marxist regimes that enslave millions of desperate people who would give anything to trade places with us. Simply because the grass seemed greener on the other side of the barbed wire fence!
