Yes DTOM, the things will take a very ugly turn in the end. The curse of democracy is that people believe voting will change something. Freedom and Democracy (TM), money, responsible politicians and public disservants, the police protecting people, FBI investigating all crime, CIA gathering information only for the benefit of the people, DEA fighting drugs, and others are illusions that have to break before a person is ready. It may be another false flag, even more obvious than 911, that will trigger people into action. Americans still have their fire arms to resist tyranny, unlike many other nations.
People are living day by day with minimal savings, credit cards often maxed. A totally disillusioned person who has lost his job and in a brink of a failure, may take up the arms and fight. That's why they want get the people unarmed.
