Joan Rivers: 'Palestinians deserve to be dead'

The comedian surpasses herself as she makes a very controversial statement

Joan Rivers is known for her scathing sharp tongue, and yet her take on the Isaeli-Gaza crisis is one of her most controversial views to date.

When told by a TMZ reporter than almost 2,000 Palestinians have been killed in the conflict, she raised her hands in mock shock (scroll down to watch the film).

“Oh my God! Tell that to the people in Hiroshima,” she says on film.

“Good. Good. When you declare war, you declare war. They started it. We now don't count who's dead. You're dead, you deserve to be dead. Don’t you dare make me feel bad about that.”

“They were told to get out. They didn’t get out. You don’t get out, you are an idiot. At least the ones that were killed were the ones with low IQs.”

She went onto describe Gaza’s Hamas government as “terrorists”.

“They were re-elected by a lot of very stupid people who don’t even own a pencil,” she said.

The comedian – who has defended Israel previously – has since claimed her opinions were taken out of context (although they were made on film), publishing a statement on her official Facebook page, in which she says she is “praying for peace”.

“I am both saddened and disappointed that my statement about the tragedy of civilian casualties was totally taken out of context,” she wrote.

VIDEO: THE LATEST FROM GAZA

“What I said and stand behind is, war is hell and unfortunately civilians are victims of political conflicts. We, The United States, certainly know this as 69 years later we still feel the guilt of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

“The media, as usual, has decided to only quote the most out of context and inflammatory non sequitur rather than giving an accurate account of what my intentions were behind the statement.”

Looking at the map above, it's a war zone

Saudi Arabia run by a puppet dictator who doesnt give a shit for his own people imprisoning his own daughters

Syria under attack by forces funded by the US controlled by Zionist

Palestine eaten away and substituted by Zionist regime

Iraq turned to cesspool of chaos by military operations killing a million Arabs

Iran controlled and abused, CIA kicking out democracy and Mossadegh, installed a ruthless dictator Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi 1953 and when he started to criticize the west replaced him by Ayatollah Khomeini, a British Agent and so on, continues to be under preparations for invasion.

It's a war zone past - present - future.

Great comment LP.

People should also ask themselves why does the Israeli 10 agorot coin show a representation of the Zionist expansionist goal of 'Greater Israel'?

The design first appeared on the 100 shekel coin on 2 May 1984, and is also the symbol of the Bank of Israel.

Arafat brought this up at the UN on May 25 1990, supporting the claim with a paper titled "Developing Perspectives upon the Areal Extent of Israel: An Outline Evaluation" by Gwyn Rowley of the University of Sheffield in the UK, which was published in GeoJournal

Rowley queried the what the maximum territorial extents of Eretz Yisrael were according to the Israelis, and presented a map of the Middle East with a superimposed outline based on the embossed pattern of a contemporary 10 agorot coin.

In the text Rowley surmised:

Whereas Israel has never formally defined its borders one possible indication of Israel's broader territorial ambitions might be seen in the Israeli ten agorot coin which carries a map, seemingly depicting an area that would extend over to encompass present-day Amman, Beirut, Baghdad, Damascus and the N parts of Saudi Arabia. This same territorial depiction was carried on the earlier one sheqal coin.

Her statement that Palestinians started the conflict is false. The last half century has been a history of counter attacks after counter attacks. That is what they call the peace process that continues till all Palestinians have been killed. Who really started it is the Zionists backed by the bankers who managed to turn Palestinians to fugitives on their own land. Jews and Arabs had peacefully coexisted there for thousands of years, but suddenly became enemies. The bankers don’t want peace because war means profits and feed their sick egos with blood sacrifice.
