Mainstream media a joke ? - controled ?
In our great Canadian democracy the large media outlets appear to work with the politicians to keep the “Establishment” in power.
Attempts by the people to share government power with the politicians are ridiculed as a ludicrous idea - ridiculed by the politicians and kept out of public view by the media.
An American example of the media at work came off the internet this week.
- TRULY REMARKABLE
- I think it’s truly remarkable that the press can investigate
- and find every woman Tiger Woods has had an affair with over the
- last few years; with photos, text messages, recorded phone
- calls, etc. They know not only the cause of the family fight,
- but even know it was a wedge from his golf bag that she used to
- break out the windows in the Escalade. Not only that, they
- know which wedge she used.
- This is the same press—or is it—that cannot locate Obama’s
- birth certificate, any of his college papers, financial records,
- or transcripts, or what passport he used when he traveled to
- Pakistan when travel there was prohibited for U. S. citizens.
- Truly remarkable.
As an example in BC, the BC Refederation Party [have you ever heard of this party ?] sympathizes with BC reporters who know better than to submit copy about this party to the editor. A BC Refed party government in Victoria will transfer political power from politicians to the people. The party’s climb from 0 to 22 candidates in 8 years shows that the party’s message is getting out despite the media owners.
A voter veto over the provincial government ? Unthinkable. Imagine what would happen if that crazy concept spread to other provinces.
Alberta media owners get ready. An Alberta Refederation Party is taking its first baby steps already.
And soon the other Provinces will demand the same political freedom, and demand refederation also.
