Chris - Yes. There is, however, a good side to all of this. I've been saying for years that strange bedfellows (politically) is a big part of the answer to our troubles. Everybody sees there is gross injustice, they either rely on the wrong methods, or pick the wrong targets, in trying to fix things. The tools everyone has at present, speech, demonstrations, voting, petitions, etc., even force, these can all be good things, but in our present predicaments the answers we have access to are insufficient.

A few politicians have bragged that the 2nd Amendment won't save Americans from the govt, and they're right. The good aspect in all of this is that those with resources will be open to new ideas. New tools. And I happen to have a number of tools that are new things under the sun. You ought to catch the first 20 minutes of Farrakhan's 4th of July speech. I almost could not believe my ears. Many are seeing that while fighting our perceived ideological enemies is fun and all, we're we're wasting time, energy and other resources instead of attacking the true problem people.

I think many are beginning to realize the gravity of the situation, with regard to the children we care about, and the world we're delivering them into. There is a sane segment of the left. There are sane Muslims who are not out for our blood. There are those of Mexican descent who are not for open borders, blacks who do not support the riots, gays who do not advocate for pedophilia. And so on. We need to construct a new political philosophy.

Adolf Hitler did so. The red background on the flag, the word "socialism" in the party title. He realized that the promises the far left made were just too good for the public to turn their back on. He did these things to get the leftists to listen for a while. They did. Most of the brownshirts were leftists. He worked it out, and turned Germany entirely around, without an armed revolution.
