More BAD press for the Obama administration

Monday, June 10, 2013

Comment 1:  One thing is certain, the last sixty days have brought more unfavorable publicity to the administration than they have had in the past 5 years and indications are that now the dam has broken that there will be an unending stream of bad press for months (or years) to come. The Bi-elections of 2014 will probably give a good indication of what the Joe and Jill Sixpacks of the country think of the course the Country is taking.

Will voters continue the drift towards the Republican positions or will they hammer the Democrats with major losses in the House and bring the Senate back to Republican control? A week ago Dem. strategists had predicted a loss of 15 House seats and 2 Senate seats.  With a continuing series of adverse revelations about what has been going on under the current administration those figures seem very conservative.
I reserve comments on the 'megadata mining', every day brings new info on that and what is involved.

Comment 2:
"Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?"

In a free and open society it is the job of the press to watch the government.  If they fail in this job, either through incompetence or hinderance from the government then the citizens will not be informed of what their government is doing. For five years the press has been asleep and the government has operated in the darkness. In the past two months there has been an awakening, caused in large part by the administration being caught in their efforts to muzzle the conservative press, something that even the liberal media finds offensive and troubling.

After long years of favorable reporting the press, long in the hip pocket of the administration, has finally stopped fawning over our 1st Black President and are now holding him to the same standard that all past presidents have been held too. I guess the old adage:  "Better late than never" applies here.

Ok perhaps I will read more of your thoughts in the future.

It's a club in my opinion. Dems Repubs alike. We are not in the club. They should ALL be fired is my opinion.

Although getting rid of Obama would feel nice, warm, and fuzzy. Wouldn't change a thing. Not a thing!

Aloha :)!

do you see a problem with the Republican Party, or is that the solution?

=====================================================================

Somewhere in my long winded blog I covered this to a certain extent.  I am a 'conservative' Barry Goldwater Republican.  I have not changed since Sen. Goldwater lost to Johnson in the '64 elections. (He only carried 6 Southern states)

However, the term 'Conservative' has been hijacked by the nutty right wing of the party.  Today Goldwater and Reagan might not have been nominated to run.

So yes, I do see a problem with the Republican party.  Some elements of ours are just as moronic as the Soros and Michael Moore nut jobs for the Dems.  If I were the King of the World I would put both groups on a desert island and sink the island.

Mr Harris,

From your blog: Mrs. Power (photo at left) comes to her Senate confirmation hearings with considerable baggage, including being seen as anti-Isreal and also likening U.S. foreign policies to those of the Nazis.

LOL I'm starting to like her ;)!

Sir do you see a problem with the Republican Party, or is that the solution?

Thank you in advance,

Troy
