New Years Are You Kidding me?

Don't ask me why I'm here don't ask me why it's New Years
An exchange of 12 months that didn't quell anybody's fears,

Does anything every really change with humanity?
The savagery, lack of polarity, the inverted reality,

Forgive me for my cynicism for I see no change
No ability to ever improve or rearrange,

I was brought into this world in the midst of war
I always wondered what events would have in store,

New Year parties as if oppression doesn't continue it's reign
Is this your New Years eve people will just drink Champaign?

All the souls thrown under the bus how insane!

Whistle blowers have become the new targets for you
You megalomaniac's who will never allow what's true,

And I live among the sheep uninformed and lacking view
This was not the way I wanted to gain a world askew!

New Years, your party your escape, your bleak landscape
And what of my country my Constitution and the rape?

My Dear people what does it take to wake you up?
How many major ways have you experienced to disrupt?

I pray to God not to be as clueless and corrupt
I am almost penniless and broke because of no prenup,

I thought I knew the key to happiness between you and me
But the unholiest of abuse and prolonging the agony!

Forever my Dear will your indiscretions be damning me!
I am but a tormented observer in this abysmal sea,

There is only one way out and there is no escape
Not even the whistle blower's incriminating tape,

This occasion that's supposed to be so special as New Year's eve
Lord will you ever grant mortal men a reprieve?
