Canadian Leadership debate tonight- April 12 2011
life in the not-news division.
1: Vancouver, Canada radiation tests show iodine-131 in rainwater at almost 100 times above US drinking water limit.
This won't get a mention. Pregnant women and children BEWARE of Canadian rain. Preferred, substantive and competitive iodine channels in the thyroid AREN'T on everyone's lips today.
I didn't see it in the news at all, in fact.
How odd, eh?.
2: Harper's 24/7 police watch on the internet. Cisi gets an on-duty officer 24/7 in every ISP in the nation. Everything on the net is open now.
Also, a BC court's decision that ISP numbers, (your internet address) are as visible as license plates, and NOT private.
In Canada, if it doesn't happen in the bedroom, it's public knowledge. And a money-maker for somebody.
3: The g-20 mass arrests + black ops. Welcome to the police state. Even if we have to bomb you ourselves. Or send the material we want to make illegal, such as press releases.
Oh, the list of witch-hunt tools on web 2.0 is getting longer and more impressive every day. More than trolls, planted news and bloggers-for-hire. Personalized social agents are lynch-mobs in disguise.
4: bill c-6 : an all-party effort to make ordinary plants into big
pharama monopolies.
think NA free-trade + the US dropping THEIR monopolies on us. Soon. Again. Plus it's Admin law, unchallengeable with normal rules of evidence+proof, so they can seize your house for breaking their rules.
Then charge your rent for holding it.
5: ACTa and other secret treaties. Retro-active law in now getting applied in some parts of Europe. Yes, they have a secret treaty on copyright, patents, and trademarks too.
There will be people scooping up all available past+present lit, then issuing royalty bills to ANY users.
Watch who gets the school xerox fees.
I could go on. Have a great day, eh? Enjoy that TV.
