‘The Apprentice’ was hugely (yugely?) popular for a long while.

Why? … because people enjoyed seeing under-qualified people “fired” by the Boss when they failed. Probably resonated really well with anyone who ever suffered, and/or was prevented from doing their best, by an unqualified, less talented supervisor/manager.

(Sort of how people [globally] are getting fed up with being ‘governed’ by self-serving, incompetent idiots?)

If you think about it, the whole ‘Apprentice’ show was about … draining the (management) “swamp” of incompetent, unqualified people!

So now, as the president of the country, instead of the president of a very successful corporation: Is not President Trump doing essentially the same thing? — Hire them — test them (in public view) — let them succeed or fail (in public view) — then “you’re fired” comes when they fail (in public view)?

Remember the Inauguration speech Donald Trump gave?

He pointed (physically) to all the ‘apprentices’ sitting behind him (swamp creatures) and excoriated them (the contestants) for their record of failure and deceit as a ‘governing’ body … and said that he was transferring the ‘power’ back to you … the “audience” (citizens/voters) and, most importantly, you, the “judges”, who can and should ‘pass sentence’ on the political failures at the ballot box.

Donald Trump publicly ‘indicted’ all those who currently resist, frustrate, interfere and subvert his agenda to ‘clean up’ the corruptions and the corrupt. You know who they are … the loud, incomprehensible faces in media and at government podiums who say loads of words but say nothing that makes much sense. They are also those who live well with generous salaries, health care and benefits you or I could never afford … the ‘Unaccountables’.

No wonder the ‘Swampers’ are so pissed, precocious , petulant and perturbed that we see such unbridled, obvious desperation from them on the public ‘stage’ against Trump’s objectives … resistance that anyone with a room-temperature IQ can see is destructive to the safety of citizens and country!

So what is the new ‘reality show’ Trump has invented? Let’s call it “The Incompetent” … and the incompetent seem to be crawling over each other to claim the title of ‘most incompetent’ and are doing so as publicly as possible!

I can hardly ingest as much popcorn as it takes to watch this! (But the Chicago Mix popcorn helps my digestive endeavors in that respect!)

Trump is, clearly, using one of the oldest and most proven tactics: “Give them enough rope to hang themselves” … to my mind his ‘opponents’ are reeling that rope in like contestants at a spaghetti eating contest!

Meanwhile “The Donald” takes a lot of heat, too, from his base … people who are in the “fight” from ‘armchairs’ (not discounting their support and efforts to get him elected) … compared to Trump who is actually in the ‘arena’ fighting things that most of us cannot comprehend because we do not know what he knows from his position as President … not all of his staunch supporters can expect their own ‘pet’ issue to be first in line practically, tactically or realistically … just a hard fact of life.
