religion (from communication comes media)

From Communication comes Media pat Donovan Jan 25th 2011

Welcome to the age of communication worship. (the web, ipods, Blackberrys, wireless flash mobs, TV, etc etc etc. Communication, marketing, development)

First there was faith, religion replaced faith, then politics replaced religion. (Like this. See below)

1: Tribal eternity tattoos: [FAITH: do EXACTLY what you did before.. Or the buffalo won't return. Maybe we should sacrifice something too.]

2: Feudal warlords :[RELIGION: no god but me, chosen one. Loyalty, perseverance, and unquestioned butt-kicking obedience.]

3: Technocrat skills: [POLITICS: enhanced communication is called cheating skills, by the way.]

Today, they now worship communications, with all the usual ham-handed attempts at control (that end in devastation, usually.)

The media is the message. (communication = 50% form 33 % delivery, 17% content. So a cute chirpy wins no matter WHAT she says, OK?)

OK, this is death by marketing. Ads, AIDS, ADDS. And Don Rickles is the first weapon of choice in finkworld.

Ick. Back to 'accept, ask, work', eh?

Man can be defined as a communicating, abstracting, gamer.
* (com = language, abstracting = math +teleological)

BTW, I really don't think we due for a sudden revival in the popularity of being rational anytime soon.

But which is more popular?
People, events, ideas.
sex religion, politics.
--?--, violence, humor. (OK, probably more sex, but what the hey.)

It's obvious, right?

And the marketing approach is.... (from the Uof O marketing texts)

simple, convenient, reliable
necessary, easy, fun.
(ah, 'cheap, legal, harmless' doesn't even make the texts the last time I checked. Now you know.)

This is not the mind/body/soul debate. Not thought, deed, reaction.
Not ethics. Morality, justice or even attitude, personality, character.

It's a trendoid, hipster, fashionesta lynch-mob.

Big brother would be so proud of his Twisted-sister media-works.
(Big Momma S'mother and little-bro Mafia are busy with the underground Eco.)

Freedom, information, resources? No, more like treachery, first shot and the madness of crowds.

Selling the sizzle will take on a whole new meaning here, won't it?

FUD, propaganda, misleading.

Inde recon unsub info-world.
(de-info, re-info, un-info, etc). Infotainment. Monoculture.

Abstraction? HA!

So science has degenerated into the worship of communication.

Poor science. Betcha evolution change is the first thing to go.
