Through a number of political blunders intentional and by mistake, the United States has fallen victim to an almost impossible federal deficit, social engineering that has caused nothing but social strife, and a media blitz to force a socialistic transformation of American society. The dumbed down youth and liberal mentality inherent in our society have refused to acknowledge this self evident truth, but there were those that saw the present US malaise on the horizon long ago and warned of it.

Robert Welch, founder of the John Birch Society, saw the writing on the wall decades before the current crisis that threatens to topple the US as a super power and a force for good in the world. Liberals, progressives, and Democrats have waged a war of words and lies against the John Birch society for years belittling them, ridiculing them, and labeling them as right wing fanatics. In actuality, all they wanted to do was end government overspending and foreign entanglements that even President George Washington warned the newly formed republic of.  

In the years since 1958 when Robert Welch spoke at that public appearance his words have never rang more true than what we are seeing now in America and in the world. It is incredible to think that such a destructive agenda was in store for an all powerful America that reigned superior during the “Cold War” that ensued after World War II. In the 1950’s following the Korean War the nation remained in relatively placid footing under the Presidency of Eisenhower, who minimized unnecessary government spending and kept America from entering any foreign wars. Obviously Ike had had his fill of death and destruction after being the Allied Supreme Commander for the liberation of Europe from the fascist occupation of the Axis Forces. It was Ike who warned the American people against the unholy alliance of corporate and government partnerships, particularly defense contractors in his final speech before Kennedy’s inauguration.

In his concise and insightful presentation, Robert Welch gives a refreshingly authoritative speech on the unscrupulous elements who plot against the US and attempt to subvert our freedoms, increase taxation to crippling levels, and involve the American military in a war time footing all over the world while forcing the country to endure the exorbitant expense of foreign aid even to our enemies. Robert warned that on the horizon of destruction for the United States out of control government spending even with increased taxes would be the goal of those planning the downfall of America. Welch asked what in the devil was wrong with the United States simply minding its own business and using its military to guard our borders at home. He took a dim view of the United Nations as being an attempt by a world government to threaten the sovereignty of America. Robert Welch urged the ouster of the United Nations from US soil and for America to sever its relationship with that entity.

I challenge anyone to question the prophetic address to the world and America especially of the impending plan of subverting our great nation to the whim of a world government that would drain our reserves and challenge our Constitutional freedoms! Welch saw the UN for what it was, an arm of the One World Government, that seeks to force all nations beneath the weight of its influence and steal their independence and resources in order to perpetuate itself and evil over the world. Just look at the statements made by President Obama and CIA director Leon Panetta who have admitted that they look not to Congress for the permission to wage international conflict, but to the United Nations, a clear violation of our US Constitution in proper protocol of due process of law! America is already compromised by the very office of the President!
