A unique, two-day symposium at which an international panel of leading medical and biological scientists, nuclear engineers, and policy experts will make presentations on and discuss the bio-medical and ecological consequences of the Fukushima disaster, will be held at The New York Academy of Medicine on March 11-12, 2013, the second anniversary of the accident. 

A project of The Helen Caldicott Foundation, the symposium is being co-sponsored by Physicians for Social Responsibility.

Thanks Vincent.  I do have a geiger counter just 2 days ago it started to rain, heavy.  I have turkeys, etc.  I have one tom who refuses to go into the barn just through the doors.  So I of course have to escort him in.  I had my rain gear on but it poured.

Once I was in the house I took off the dripping mess and whipped out my geiger, curious.  The think let out this loud beep, scared the bejesus out of me.  I have background of 8 to 20 depending.  This was 38.  The HIGHEST ever.

So, the morel of the story is WAIT 10 minutes to let the front go through then go out.  When I see a storm coming I will put my turkey away first.

Then, I am finding DAILY mutated dandelions, I have 5 some are two headed one is 3 headed one is 4.  Tell me everything is just dandy...look around for yourself.

I live in nw Illinois it is unbelieveable to find them...shakes my soul.

Now reading "on the beach" makes me look at things in a very slanted way.
