The True Story Behind the Minnesota Ice Man Pt. 2

Massimo on Twitter: "Gigantopithecus blacki is an extinct species of ape from the Early to Middle Pleistocene of southern China. It went extinct 300,000 years ago likely due to climate change and

For decades the controversy of whether an undiscovered primate that still manages to evade modern civilization has raged. Doctor Grover Krantz a Washington State Professor was one of the first academia educators to acknowledge that there was enough circumstantial evidence and eye witness testimony to warrant further scientific study. Even though his assertion that Gigantopithecus, a huge gorilla from the Asian forests might have crossed the Aleutian Island chain from across the Pacific thousands of years ago, could be the Bigfoot many had seen was probably incorrect. Hundreds of DNA samples have been collected and tested showing that an undisclosed biped with almost the same genetic makeup as man that does indeed inhabit the rural jungles and forests of the world is a plausible conclusion.

The real thing

As for the Minnesota Ice Man, chances are it was a Sasquatch or Bigfoot that had been shot and killed due to self-defense. As for the former USAF Commander who recovered the remains of the creature after leaving the body in the frozen swamp of Whiteface reservoir in Minnesota after shooting the man ape, and then taking the body frozen in a block of ice for tours around the country, the story doesn’t end there. Through some unintended consequences events became intense enough that after consulting with his attorney, the owner of the man ape creature’s carcass was now concerned that a number of laws he had unknowingly broken could be waiting to ambush him. Laws such as state statutes about the concealment of a dead body and transporting it across state lines, possible murder or man slaughter charges for shooting what some authorities might define as a feral human, or perhaps even health codes involving exposing the public to the remains of a dead body.

Possible threats

Even with the creature in a block of ice hidden within the farm acreage he and his wife now owned, a possible raid by law enforcement was a concern. It was time for him to come up with a new approach so he made several sketches of the deceased Minnesota Ice Man, and went to Hollywood to consult a number of makeup artists and statue fabricators to see if it was possible to reconstruct a mannequin or furry dummy that looked as closely as possible like the real man ape creature, even with the blood on the face and hair. This way he could continue his touring and profiteering without the fear of being investigated for transporting an actual humanoid dead body.

Plan B

After consulting with a number of studio officials and special effects firms, finally he arrived at a solution and a couple who specialized in a type of faux taxidermy. They not only fabricated a look alike but hand stitched every bit of hair on the replicated body for a very realistic appearance. Now he was ready. All he and his wife had to do was take the facsimile to a frozen storage, place it in a container and fill it with water that would freeze into a perfect block of ice. Once again he had resurrected the new Minnesota Ice Man. A security guard at the refrigerated storage facility witnessed what he was doing thinking a real body was being entombed in an ice block but our former US Air Force officer assured him it was only a stuffed animal made to look like a man ape creature.

An offer refused by the establishment

Our former US Air Force officer made contact with the scientific community offering them to take tissue and hair samples for DNA analysis of the Minnesota Ice Man under the guarantee that he could not be prosecuted in any form or fashion for his ownership of and use of the body for exhibition purposes, but could not get that assurance so he exercised Plan B making a fake Minnesota Ice Man. While he was still using the original remains for side shows and carnivals even though two scientists who inspected the body peering into the ice block confirmed the body was real, the Smithsonian Museum without as much as ever inspecting the Minnesota Ice Man deemed it as a hoax. This also represents the official view of the US federal government despite a number of park rangers and game wardens who have witnessed and testified that the government knows about these things but denies their existence. Sounds similar to the UFO quandary doesn’t it?

Conclusion

As it turns out authorities did try to search for the real Minnesota Ice Man remains but never found it. They used the mock up dummy to justify their claim that the supposed man ape creature was nothing but a hoax perpetrated by the former US Air Force Commander and concluded publicly there were no such creatures out in the woods of North America and the public in general need not fear that some Bigfoot creatures or Sasquatch beings lurked in the wilderness and could threaten them, but as we know now, that statement itself was a hoax.
