This is a year that has no peer

Far and away the traitor’s sneer

When the demand for truth is in low gear

The hypocrites can’t see themselves in the mirror,

This is the year of the dung beetle and sand fly

The truth will be eternally denied

When ideology will overshadow the victim’s cries

When the threshold of government celebrates the lie,

They shall cause friction between you and I

Rather than live many will choose to die

From above the sound of angels who sigh

As war plane contrails fill the sky,

You can almost see it on everybody’s stunned face
