The sad truth of politics is that those in power are not there because of their superior qualities, quite the contrary. The most important characteristic of a top politician is controllability, then fluency in speech. Politicians are controlled by using their weak spots and secrets they want to keep hidden. Very often those secrets have been induced by the controllers, obscenity filmed and used for blackmail purposes. That's why pedophiles, murderers and all kinds of scum get elected.
