His book, Witness, deals with his youth, introduction and operation in a communist spy organisation in America, his later withdrawal and exposure of communism and finally exposure of Alger Hiss, a communist spy who was in key role in establishing the United Nations. Alger Hiss was a close assistant to president Roosevelt in Yalta conference where a large part of Europe was handed over to the Soviet Union.
