We Are All to Blame

Was I too wasted too wasted to see?

Did somebody cast a spell on me?

Somehow blocking the path to the clear blue sea

Oh Father please avenge me,

Abandoned by those I thought were friends

Even those who were family it never ends

Betrayed by all whom I depend

Father, don’t let me descend,

Lost in my darkest of nights

Yet never losing my sight

Father, don’t let me lose this fight

If it be your will and your might,

In an elliptical orbit near and yet far

Watching the super nova of a star

You materialized it from afar

Yet, I can only wonder who you are,

Seduced by her satin skin

Then finding myself punished for sin

Seems there’s no other way to begin

Don’t let me collapse from within,

On a collision course

Seated upon that pale horse

The unleashing of the evil force

Lord, I feel this remorse,

I’m weightless in this empty room

A corpse that needs to be exhumed

Saved from the ever present tomb

The fools can’t see the apocalypse as it looms,

Just a taste of a tear drop on her face

The silken feel of luxuriant lace

How I sense God given grace

Salvation from a spiritual embrace,

In this world of extremes and pain

Hanging onto the lion’s mane

Devouring all who are arrogant and vain

We are all to blame.
