The US military says it can't find its copy of a video that shows two employees of the Reuters news agency being killed by Army helicopters in 2007, after a leaked version circulated the internet and renewed questions about the attack.
Captain Jack Henzlik, a spokesman for US Central Command, said forces in Iraq have not been able to locate the video within its files.
Bloodthirsty neo-cons who would defend barbecuing Arab babies on the White House lawn if they were told it was part of the “war on terror” are disgracefully scrambling to defend a shocking video released by Wikileaks which shows U.S. Apache helicopters massacring Iraqi journalists and children in Baghdad while laughing about it.
We don't even have a legal right to be there. WE are the aggressor here, WE are the enemy, WE are the terrorists and every American soldier in this video is guilty of a war crime and should be tried and sentenced to death.
That was someones neighborhood and they were defending their neighborhood from an aggressive and illegal armed force. WE suck.
Marklar, all sadly true but only the opinion of reasonable people and they appear to be in short supply since we're still there. I mentioned elsewhere today that all soldiers in Iraq are guilty of treason, and they are. They've chosen to follow illegal orders.
Right Jeff, even if they had been shooting at our troops WE invaded their country so any action by them is by nature defensive while ALL of our troops actions are inherently offensive - even when somebody else shoots first.
The only truly defensive action an invader can make is WITHDRAWAL.
The action in the video was of course just plain and simple wanton slaughter and by ANY reasonable person's definition a war crime.
Not to be confused with the much drier Frank Capra film from 1943.A "Broadway Brevity", released August 1, 1942. Vitaphone #1022-1023A.Transferred from 16mm.
