In theory, the concept IS quite simple-- armed resistance against the established regime. Tactics aside, I think the biggest obstacle (other than creating the belief that success is even somewhat likely) is that we would need to create a belief among the people that armed resistance against the government makes you a freedom fighter, not a terrorist. In other words, if you really are "in the right" (not a crook) and face off against a police officer (or the Federal Government, Goldman Sachs) with guns/Molotov cocktails/whatever in defense of yourself and your liberty, you are still considered a member of "respectable" society, not a miscreant or defective.
In some small way I have been hoping that the social climate has slowly been shifting away from "The government will take care of us." to "The system is broken, we need to fix it."
I'll have to give it up for the woman in the vid who was being grossly violated in her own home, which on the books is against the law because they had no probable cause to enter her home and no visible warrant, but the law don't seem to care these days. She was a feisty woman who knew her rights though. I just hope someone out there in the mad world of law remembers her rights too.
David Walkins, thank you for a wonderful assessment of reality. What if? What if we stood up to these thugs armed with the law? It's a very simple concept.

they always protect their own , they will walk scott free .
looking at my response it seems so easy to say scott free but it looks really odd . I wonder where the saying comes from ??? ive used it several times throughout my life.
The old saying goes "give em a gun and a badge and they think they are god" i see where this saying comes from unfortunatley over and over and over again
Cop: "Hey son your eyes look red, have you been smokin' dope?"
Kid: "No sir, but your eyes look glazed, have you been eating donuts?"

As I was watching, I couldn't help but wonder if things were a little different....
What if? What would the legal ramifications of this be if....
What if the woman, upon hearing "I don't need a warrant.", said: "You just broke the Constitution you son of a bitch!", pulled a gun then successfully shot the peace officer(s) on videotape. Let's further assume that she was smart enough to video their identification (if any) and immediately posted the video all over the Internet? Now mind you, in this scenario, the law enforcement agencies cannot "work in the dark" and cover the story up so easily....
Am I exaggerating? Maybe...I wonder.... Maybe I was "just guessing" at the time but years ago I reasoned this out already....
Politicians use "The Will of the People" to write the laws and collect taxes to pay law enforcement to enforce those laws. So then if either the politician or the police officers are not "on the straight and narrow", what's the difference between a police officer and a common thug?
How do you think they got the name PIG in the first place? Cops have been beating people ever since there were cops. Always some bad cops and some good cops lately seems mostly bad. But what else would make news in this world. Good news is not news it seems.
Not to be confused with the much drier Frank Capra film from 1943.A "Broadway Brevity", released August 1, 1942. Vitaphone #1022-1023A.Transferred from 16mm.
