This story gets stranger and stranger by the day. WTF happened to the plane???

Technology tracks our every move. How can an entire plane go missing?

Call 911 from the side of the road, and GPS satellites can tell dispatchers exactly where to send help. Airline passengers have access to detailed maps that show exactly where they are during their journey. Hop onto WiFi, and somehow Google knows whether you're logging on from Lima or London, and will give you detailed suggestions about what to eat.

For all these abilities, how is it that we have no idea where Malaysia Flight 370 has gone? The answers offer a humbling look at the limitations of our current technology.

Malaysian Airlines Missing Plane May Have Disintegrated Mid-Flight:...

By Siva Govindasamy and Nguyen Phuong Linh

KUALA LUMPUR/PHU QUOC ISLAND, Vietnam, March 9 (Reuters) - Officials investigating the disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines jetliner with 239 people on board suspect it may have disintegrated in mid-flight, a senior source said on Sunday, as Vietnam reported a possible sighting of wreckage from the plane.

International police agency Interpol confirmed that two passengers on the flight had used stolen Austrian and Italian passports, raising suspicions of foul play.

Official: 'Strange object' not debris from missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

Sunday, March 09, 2014 11:01 AM

"Whilst it is too soon to speculate about any connection between these stolen passports and the missing plane, it is clearly of great concern that any passenger was able to board an international flight using a stolen passport listed in INTERPOL's databases," said Interpol Secretary General Ronald K. Noble in a statement.

The two passengers who used the passports in question appear to have bought their tickets together.

Malaysian official discounts terrorism in case of missing airliner; 5 nations searching for wreckage

Sunday, March 09, 2014 10:58 AM

Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and other nations resumed the search for a missing passenger jet at daybreak Sunday, amid mounting concerns over the possible cause of the plane’s disappearance.

As the search entered its second day, questions about possible terrorism arose after it was discovered that two passengers listed as having been aboard the aircraft were both found to be safe, but had had their passports stolen -- one, two years ago.

Hishammuddin Hussein, Malaysia’s transport minister, issued a statement saying that terrorism was not suspected, but that all possibilities were being investigated.

This is not to say there's a nefarious plot behind the scenes, but when looking up the firm, Freescale Semiconductor and Philip Wood being an IBM Executive... well, you put two and two together. The things that make one go hmm...

And I've also heard reports from the MSM that they are not ruling out and act of Terrorism. I guess two stolen Europeans passports were used on the flight. The big bad bogeyman just won't go away... run for the hills ;)

"The Malaysia Airlines plane missing since Friday evening U.S. Eastern Time was carrying one adult American, the man’s family confirmed Saturday. Philip Wood, 50, of Keller, Texas was an employee of IBM, working in the corporation’s Kuala Lumpur office, and a father of two, was a passenger on Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 to Beijing."

"The missing Malaysia Airlines plane has another Texas connection. The Austin firm Freescale Semiconductor said that 20 of its employees, 12 Malaysians and eight Chinese nationals, were on board Flight MH370."
