Yes, AZ, I do agree on decorum... Everyone should wait their turn to be assaulted. No matter if he waited or if he didn't...the gentleman had a valid point and was highly passionate about the Govt. not cutting off his Medicare and SSA, which is what is proposed on the Hill right now.

 

As for speaking out at a sermon, well...I was once in Church and listenend to the Romans 13 sermon and felt compelled to correct the Baptist Preacher about it saying to follow Govt. as it is ordained by God. I pointed out very vocally that the relevant statement was :to render under to Ceasar, that which is Ceasar's" meaning any coin with the countenance of Ceasar should be given back as his due.

 

I was applauded by the audience and the Preacher thought for a long moment, and thanked me for such an impassione pleas for sanity, as he had never thought of it in that manner before. Not once did he deeide and talk about my blood pressure meds.

 

That is the difference. If so-called Jesus was at a Ryan conference and threw over the moneychangers tables, then by your reasoning, he should have been taken down like a dog, and locked up!

It is either free speech, or it is not!

I disagree with the author's take on this one. Yes, the police should have been a little more gentle with a senior citizen who was not resisting the arrest, but the fault lies with the older gentleman. He interrupted Ryan's speech. Had he only waited for Ryan to open the floor for questions, then he could have been heard without an incident.

There is a bit of protocol and decorum for addressing anyone who is publically speaking, and loudly blurting out an opinion is not the right way to make your point, under any circumstances. You don't blurt out statements in church, publically objecting to what is being preached, so why does this guy think it is different?

Just an unpopular viewpoint, but everyone please remember that we are a Constitutional Republic, and as such we are subject to the rule of law.

  WOW! I thought my imagery of Obama being the guy that fluffe up Romney for those underwear modelling jobs for the underwear packages at Walmart was just me being a sophomoric jackass. It does appear now Mittens is going full on boogie for the Calligula vote. Bain investments being based on El Salvador death squad confiscations and now this in the same two days. Obama has his head of the DHS grabbing everybody's genitals at airports and bus stations. Romney will be installing human calf squeezes that are activated by travellers not flirting back with TSA molesters. Who did 911? Don't bother asking a TSA agent. The piece of crap will sound his alarm and lie when his supervisor shows up. With Romney, castration and imprisonment may well be the preferred responses. Romney knows damn well who did 911 and should be in prison for condoning it. That cocaine shit does not influence the public. Apparently Romney is surrounded by decadent genetic slag who believe their own crap due to communal drug addiction. I know of no other explanation for his degenerate condition.
