This is what Gerald Celente has talked about for several years.  It's definitely a real and growing problem.   My daughter is going into her college senior year.  Fortunately she had some partial scholarships and the rest we have had to scrape up the cash.  I simply did not want her to take out a student loan.  I had a few student loans myself back in the stone age and paid them off.  It is totally different these days.
