I would think that as knowledgeable and connected as Ron Paul is that he is quite aware of why "preemption" was accepted as one of our focal foreign policy changes. (He speaks about this around 5:15 into the video)....The reason we have not had to declare war via Congress since WWII is because the U.S. corporation has been in a state of Emergency thanks to FDR's declaration. In a state of emergency (financial bankruptcy and insolvency) the President has the authority to wage war without Congress' consent...If Ron Paul wanted to better educate Americans, he would mention this instead of "puffing out his chest" in defense of "common sense" solutions like bringing our troops home.... Doesn't the MSM portray this guy as the only one out there on the side of common sense and logic? Again, I'm sure if he did this he would have a car accident, heart attack, or "drowning" accident like Matt Simmons, or contract some rare cancer like author, lawyer, and doctor, Michael Crichton did.

Much of what he says is true; however, that is, perhaps, the best propaganda: 99% truth and 1% lie. That 1% could make all the difference.
