Yeah; and the mayor was even trying to avoid the point the sheriff made, regarding the attack on the mayor, by someone with a tire iron - you could just see the mayor stop dead (no pun intended) in his tracks, as he had a flash back - you could almost see him wishing that he did, have a gun, on his person at that time.

I loved the way he held his composure (not easy with Piers the almighty wanker, Great Britain's red headed step child ;) and he won the debate, hands down!

Milwaukee county is just a couple of counties south of where I live. I'm feeling mighty proud of being a cheesehead about now. 

Kudos to this patriot speaking truth to power... even to his own mayer :)

Sheriff Clarke is obviously a very honest, practical, or logical thinking man - he knows all too well, that the chances of the police getting to the scene in time to save you from a violent crime is nil - and given that each and every American has Unalienable Rights to keep and bear arms; then do so in the safest manner possible - and I for one truly agree with his suggestion - everyone wanting to keep and bear arms should know what they are doing and to do it as safely as possible - and his suggestion of a gun course makes perfect sense.

I'd vote for Sheriff Clarke if I could.
