I was raised Catholic and my family is Catholic, although I am not a practicing Catholic and frankly am generally unexcited to see any bashing on any persons beliefs or opinions.

As a rule I  ignore the debates for and against one specific religion (or philosophy)  and once again point toward liberty. If we return to  true free society, religious practice , like all speech and forms of individual expression will be  protected.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

Marklar, Catholics should not be required to pay for the killing of unborn babies. A Catholic charity or hospital should not be required to pay for services that go against their religious beliefs. Who do you think supports Catholic Churches, Hospitals, and Charities? Catholic individuals.

Why do you think that a Catholic employer has the "responsibility" to provide contraception and abortion drugs? Just because Obama and Sibelius said so? That's a lousy reason. Those services are provided free or close to free from other sources.

This is an attack on our religious freedoms in this country. We ignore this at our own peril!

religious/ spiritual beliefs aside, IMO, the gov should not be financing reproductive responsibility. Of course this will be a wedge issue that will further divide us, yet, I posted it with libertarian ideals in mind.

The religious beliefs of Catholojism has no bearing on it's rights or responsibilities as an employer. If they can't handle that they can close shop.

I'm sure my former employers who were all Scientologists would have just loved to deny me any medical care in favor of voodoo thetan therapies and auditing sessions. Thank god for the equal application of employment law despite what any group of nut jobs with an invisible friend have to say about it.

In the 1920's, the government of Mexico tried to crush the Catholic Church. It did not go well for them. I highly recommend this movie. (NOT for children. Way too violent.)

IMHO, the "war on women" is the administration's planned distraction for something much more insidious...a blatant attack on our 1st Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

 The Obamacare HHS mandate to provide contraception services is a direct attack on the beliefs of the Catholic Church, therefore affecting the "free exercise thereof". The later accommodation, saying that insurance companies would provide contraception and abortion pills for free, is a farce. Most Catholic entities (including hospitals and charities) are self-insured.

 This direct attack on the beliefs of a church, and the conscience of church members, is not going unanswered. It is being discussed in parishes all over the country. Also, Catholic entities have filed at least 12 lawsuits with over 40 plaintiff groups. Hadn't heard about it? Blame our lamestream media.

 This wasn't about contraception. It was about chipping away another part of our Bill of Rights. Remember, things are not always as they seem...especially with this administration.

P.S. I'm not Catholic, but I am a diehard supporter of our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

If they didn't participate in sexual activity ,before marriage ,they don't have a thing to worry about...I they ate nympho,and can,"t do without having sexual contact and intercourse .Let them figure out their own way to pay for their own contraception...there are many other types of birth control ,other the citizens of our Nation the Tax , last two offers would be perfect to pay for

  There is abstention, hystorectomy, all men could be given vasectomies or castration . The last 4 procedures would the only sensible way to control the birt rate and unwanted pregnacies... That would be the best all round way for contraception viable. Would put the drug companies out of the contraception in the United States...
