Morris K. Jessup
In 1959 a man who had written 4 books on UFO’s and government secret projects such as the Philadelphia Experiment by the US Navy during WWII was found dead in his car alongside the road April 30th in Dade County, Florida. Morris K. Jessup holding degrees in Astronomy and Archeology, predated Erich von Daniken (Chariots of the Gods) in attributing traces left in ancient times of past UFO visitations. His first book did quite well but subsequent titles did not and he was dropped by his publisher after his fourth attempt. It seems that all who go down the rabbit hole of UFO’s and government secrecy surrounding them become depressed, despondent, and suicidal. Is this symptom of the covert pressure exerted upon them by the federal government intelligence apparatus? Like MacDonald, Jessup, and an acting astronomer and involved in archeological digs in Central America was a well-qualified scientific mind to be questioning this mysterious realm. Once again, a supposed suicide!
William Cooper
The man who began the so-called “Conspiracy Theory” podcasts with his underground radio shows accurately predicted orchestrated mass shootings by drugged mad men, school shootings, UFO disclosure, and more seemingly unthinkable scenarios that would shock audiences of the time, what we have so sadly accepted as the new norm. William Cooper became controversial and infamous among the government agencies who sought to silence him. First it was the IRS who harassed Cooper, then the Arizona sheriffs who eventually would take his life. Cooper had served in the US Army and the US Navy as an intelligence officer, and seemed well suited to have access to the information he divulged to the public. Supposedly, William when confronted by sheriff’s deputies got into a firefight and shot one officer in the head while on the run and was gunned down during the pursuit. Only one problem with that story. Cooper had suffered severe leg wounds while in the armed service and was incapable of running!
Paul Bennewitz
In 1979, owner of Thunder Laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico living very close to Kirkland AFB at the very edge of the perimeter, would spend nights observing strange lighted aerial activity over the Manzano underground nuclear storage facility. Paul was a defense contractor working with the Kirkland AFB providing nuclear testing equipment. Using a telescope, and taking all types of instrument readings, Paul Bennewitz began keeping detailed logs and observation records. What Paul watched were bizarre light plasmas flying over the base in the night skies appearing as fantastic UAP’s. After months of observations, Bennewitz contacted Kirkland AFB headquarters to inform them of what he was witnessing and to share his records with them. What did the US Air Force do in appreciation? They unleashed intelligence officer Richard A. Doty who began to deluge Bennewitz with, what Doty claimed, was false Alien and human cooperative programs. Supposedly leaking frightening UFO data to Paul Bennewitz who ended up becoming so paranoid that he bought weapons, kept all of his windows and doors carefully secured, and was convinced that extraterrestrial visitors were getting into his house. Richard Doty in a cable channel documentary, actually bragged about how he had misled and confused Paul Bennewitz with counter-intelligence. The result was Paul taking his own life, convinced there was no way out. That’s the official version of it anyway. When I met with Norio Hayakawa, who knew Paul and his family, he drove me over to see Thunder Laboratory still run by Paul’s two sons at the time. That was in 2013.
John E. Mack
The esteemed Harvard Medical School professor of psychiatry and a well-known writer, who had appeared on TV talk shows, was intrigued by the “Alien Abduction” phenomenon. Unlike many of his peers, who worried about their professional reputation, John tackled the mystery head on and even corroborated with Bud Hopkins another accomplished abduction researcher who had written several books and was using regressive hypnosis to examine abductee experiences more closely. John had battles with his university whom he had tenure with, but steadfastly stuck to his studies of the people who claimed to have been victimized by the mysterious visitations. In 2004 while walking down the streets of London talking with some interested parties, he was fatally run over by a supposedly drunk driver in broad daylight! Really? By the way, car accidents are another popular manner of assassinating the undesirables who threaten to expose the forbidden knowledge. John had written several books between 1979 and 2004 about everything from Alien Abductions to ancient history.
Summation
One question you might want to ask yourself. Why do very intelligent and educated men get involved in this compelling UFO mystery if this is merely a hoax, the human imagination, aircraft misidentifications, meteorological activity, or astronomical phenomenon? Being men of science trying to arrive at the answers unlike today’s pseudoscience trying to make Global Warming and dangerous vaccines as acceptable by the American public. These scientists were doing their jobs trying to arrive at the truth, and what did they get for it? The unknown can be a dangerous thing to expose when you don’t know who your enemies are.
