Cop cars to be replaced with drones by 2025

Saturday, November 24, 2012 10:59 AM

Law enforcement agencies across the US are lining up to be among the first to use drones to serve and protect, but unmanned vehicles are likely to replace the traditional cop cruiser in just a few short years.

In places like California, Texas and Washington State, police officers in recent weeks have intensified their demands for surveillance drones, a necessary addition they say to their arsenal of tools to help thwart crime. The Federal Aviation Administration has yet to finalize plans to put drones in US airspace, but by the end of the decade as many as 30,000 UAVs are expected to be soaring through the sky.

By 2025, those drones are predicted to take the place of the police patrol car as unmanned vehicles operated by cops are being considered a likely inclusion on our roads of tomorrow.

Instead of pulling you over they'll just blow you away. I wonder if they've considered what happens when these things get sucked up into a jet engine intake, or hits propellers.

The question is "How to combat this intrusion?". I recall how the Viet Cong took on the helicopter. They eliminated  thousands of them. One tactic was planting spikes in tall grass. Charlie had very little  against our Juggernaut, but they triumphed. I am not advocating violence. I wouldn't long if I did; however there are other ways of stopping this invasion of privacy. Just as we the people won against segregation in the South, we can win nonviolently against this intrusion.

@James

:D

And I agree, Sheridan, there is a way to win non-violently; the question is will we use it? I currently see very little resistance to tptb.

    I am SURE this is for OUR "Safety"; I think i'll watch "Terminator" tonight.

to serve and protect the masters of the universe. the law says that a cops job is to enforce the code and protect the corporation. this is valid case law.

Too bad it's so hard to get people to realize that United States IS a corporation. Even when we show them, in black and white, that it is. They just don't get it.
