kidney beans are poisonous , you should let them sit in water , rinse then cook fully , sometimes crock pots will only get up to 170 f and the increases the toxic potency 500 percent , if fully cooked no problem   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bean  go to toxins heading

Now we see the importance of proper spelling.

Thanks for having a sense of humor about it, Robert. Yeah, I think most of us are lucky to have a brain left at all after all the chemtrails, fluoride, prescription drugs, etc.

So, how are you getting along on one kidney? I may need some advice for the future.
do an ACE inhibitor for blood pressure ; the idea is to baby your existing kidney[s] the ACE type drug is the easiest on the body , lisinopril is my choice , but your liver has to metabolize all of the meds pollution etc the body needs to get rid of . GLA is in the omega 3-6-9 group , it is the most powerful liver restorative agent available , and sweating ; hot shower etc takes things out that the kidneys would have had to handle

Thanks. Actually, I'm already taking Lisinopril for my blood pressure. Aside from that, I'm of the opinion that natural remedies that take advantage of the body's self-healing properties are better than prescription drugs, which usually exacerbate conditions and cause new ones. I'm trying to eat a diet that is quasi-vegetarian now, having found the high-protein diet I was eating was overloading my kidneys with protein.

there is nothing you can do for a kidney restorer they may bounce back a little after the problem is removed mine went from 2.0 [ exactly half loss ] to 1.8 -1.9 now , good luck and if you do find a good natural way other than plenty of fluids , feel free to share Robert
GaryRea said:
Actually, just the change in diet has made a difference. That, plus going from drinking a lot of bottled water to drinking very little. You want to limit fluid intake, not increase it.

This link acknowledges that most non-nephrologists (non-kidney specialists) recommend increased water consumption for CKD patients, but then goes on to say that there is no medical reason for doing so:

thanks for the info : my thoughts was not to stress the kidney with strong waste streams pretty much your urine should NOT be yellow or strongly colored , it should be fairly clear or you are becoming dehydrated and that is rough on the kidney (s) . trivia, if you are thirsty you are 25% dehydrated [so drink earlier ]
yea thats the screwed mode

GaryRea said:
True, but, if you have kidney disease, you're going to see yellow urine, anyway, no matter how much water you drink. Also, you know you're in real trouble when your urine becomes dark in color, "almost like coffee," as one website on the subject has said.
Put a teaspoon of baking soda in the water while the beans soak overnight.
Very important little tip to keep them from being gaseous.
