cheeki kea, you're right, Great Britain invented the Harrier Jump Jet which the US Marines immediately incorporated into their forces thanks to its versatility! No doubt there were mistaken sightings. Also recently Steven Greer just revealed that the flying Tic Tacs observed by US Navy F-18 Super Hornet pilots observed and admitted that those UAP's traveled at such great speed that the centrifugal forces they maneuvered at would kill any human pilot. They were powerless against them! According to Doctor Greer these also were experimental human operated UAP's that seem to violate the laws of physics!

   I find it hard to seriously believe anything that the powers that be say or their 'whistle blowers' and well meaning informers who themselves have been hoaxed and deceived in the past. Cover-ups and fantastic stories of nonsense  can be directed towards the UFO movement who likely have eager appetites for dazzling constructs. This does not mean that eye witness accounts of weirdness is not as they describe it because it very likely will be absolutely as they've described. As a real example in the 1960s a VTOL craft ( plane) was invented - then shelved for 20 yrs, only to be brought out of hiding later in eighties to win a difficult war that Britain brought on in remote islands. So all those folks taking of seeing Motionless planes in the sky really were on to something as the craft jet could hover in the air like a helicopter, float upwards or downwards like a balloon, or zoom off as fighter jet all directions from a near stationary stand still at any time. By now we all know this was the harrier jump jet and it could be anyones guess as to what they may have hidden away now in these more modern times.
