I currently on Marinol (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000403/) (http://norml.org/index.cfm?Group_ID=6635) synthetic THC, a drug that has been around since 1985, yet in all this time has the government ever raided a pharmacy, doctor or patient that stores, prescribes or takes this drug? I can tell you first hand that Marinol does get you High, the high is much like if you were to eat a pot brownie.
So why is it that our government is cracking down on the natural product, I imagine it all comes down to money. If the pharmaceutical company's were making billions off of medical Marijuana and our government and politicians were getting payed off through a political PAC you would see no more drug busts. I imagine the pharmaceutical company's are silently pushing for government busts because todays model of distribution circumvents big pharma and they see the giant potential of a windfall of cash slipping through their fingers and can simply not let that happen.

First stop shouting, its obnoxious and makes you look dumb.
With the advent of the supreme court case Citizens united, it opened up the legal flood gates for corporations or individual billionaires like the Koch brothers (Tea-Party founders) to funnel millions of dollars through a PAC to purchase a corrupt politician.
Not just money a shitload of money, currently going into the wrong coffers small unorganized, poorly financed individuals. Corporations understand weed to be a cornucopia of cash that will continue for many lifetimes.
Citizens united will ruin whats left of this once great country, we will slowly slip into a model where our government will privatize every governmental program from social-security to your local police department and then what when its all gone, sold the highest bidder? America will cease to exist. That or I could be High.
