Hey y'all, 26 blogs to go for a 4 figure total for May. Good going here. Only, there are some people here who are posing as good samaritans and posting stale news as multiple blogs to shove good blogs from the front page. We need to address this sometime to limit people to a few posts a month, week or so on to keep up with the spammers.

I enjoy the spread of blogs on this site as much as everyone. I should add, this unfortunate situation is brought about by a select few who are here to distort the movement. Its quite blatant and you'll know when you see it.

Perhaps there should be voting or a moderation system in place to pull up the weed.
Any thoughts people??

I also wanted to mention that we have had many ...many .. duplicate blogs and videos being posted.

Where as I understand it may be important to you and you may want it on your blog, please consider that your post may be all ready here, with member comments being added.

I use the search feature on the very top of the page to see if it may be a duplicate postings.

Just my two cents... whats yours??
The issue is the more the post the less the views and even lesser amount of comments added.

I feel that some may feel ignored if there isn't replies or views die to it being a duplicate.

We have had as many as 50blogs a day last month, and maybe one in five was read by members and even less were commented on.

Now a lot of people have given up bothering to post.

Picking and choosing is fine, however do you make it to the second, 3 rd or 4th page of blogs, videos or discussions before deciding?

I realize I am the biggest slacker on commenting on post, and will make an attempt to correct this.

To sum it up, read the post , just not from today but back a few days folks.

Most blogs are found and read by those on google searches. We have excellent rankings in this regard.

So keep that in mind,we are a portal of truth.
Jamie, You sound like you are regulating the network. Mam, there is enough rules and regulations in this world already, which rules and regulations have made this world corrupted such as bringing on a police state and letting the criminals get away with their murders. We need to limit so many rules and regulations instead of creating new ones. You see what you tube is doing, they are world dominating what we do online and will end up creating new rules to make us pay for uploads or even watching the videos.. These new rules and regulations
are going to end up shutting down internet 1 and bring on the NWO's internet 2 which has what you want limits. In fact I have not seen any spam here lately. Thank you very much.
I know. I know. Multiple posting is a problem as is duplicate posting. This multiple rapid fire blog posting is meant to deter good info from going out. This sort of anti social behavior needs to be pulled up for attention. There is no need to regulate these sort of activities under normal conditions.
Just wishing them away is not going to solve the problem. Some dogged monitoring is what is required.

It certainly would be nice if there were a system to allow old news or irrelevant and off topic blogs sink to the bottom of the pile quickly while the more relevant and recent stuff rises to the top.

I liked it when the Featured Blogs were at the top of the page except they were always just a title line which makes them look as if they are not very featured at all. Personally I would like to see Featured blogs on top with the kind of presentation that is given to the full blog list now and the full blog list given as a simple title line. I think the system can handle this?

It would also be nice if the blogs that receive the most comments could rise to the top and stay there longer but I know the current system cannot handle that.
Yea why cant we BUMP them back to the top ?
Yeah, I often find myself frustrated when I log on to 12.160 and see only one persons blogs, discussions or vid's and all the other members posts have long vanished from the front page. What would even possess somebody to hog up so much space with their posts? It must be the me, me, me, I, I, I syndrome or something to that effect....maybe a distractor, who knows?

I'm not for limiting members to how many posts they can have a month, but I think a little respect would go a long way. If you're going to post away, why not read other members posts too and leave a comment or two sometimes. Maybe then we'll know you're human. It's all about give and take! If your just going to be taking all the time, then the relationship is all one-sided and we all know how that works out in the end.
Well I have to agree with the majority on this !! It seems almost cluttered....I usually go to edit and type in a search word in something Im posting to see if anything shows up on the homepage, so i wont repost , it use to work pretty good because everything wasnt going away so fast. But like tonite, the whole front page was covered in stuff ive read 2 weeks ago, and I cant tell if im reposting something or not . So I just post it on Twitter and well.... I think its awesome this site is growing (trust me I advertise this site everywere I can) But how much of a turn off would it be if someone new dropped in for a look around and all they saw was repeat, repeat, or weeks old news, u think they are coming back?
Ok theres my 2 cents worth LOL
Kisssssssssssssses All
Boy, this post goes way back to the infancy of the 12160 resurrection (a long sordid tale, lol). I think it's a good one to revisit after all these months. It seems that not much has changed since this discussion was posted though. Luckily, once we have made the big move off of Ning and onto 12160.info the admin will have better control of what makes it to the front page. It will be an equal opportunity blogoshphere, lol.
