Yep, There's An App For That! Application Allows Users To Create Sexual Consent Contracts

Application Allows Users To Create Sexual Consent Contracts

If you want legal certainty that you’re about to enter a consensual sexual relationship, the upcoming smartphone application LegalFling might be for you.
Right before things get steamy, users can open up the app and send a request to their prospective lover asking if they’re willing to get down and dirty (completely consensual, of course).
In the midst of the #metoo campaign, such an app might be the logical conclusion of society’s changing views of sexual consent. LegalFling allows users to send a legally binding agreement to another user.
“#metoo dominated Twitter in 2017,” the application’s website states. “Sweden is going to implement a new law that requires explicit consent before sexual contact. More countries are following their example. Sex should not only be fun. It should also be safe for everyone. Asking someone to sign a contract before the fun starts is a little uncomfortable. A simple swipe is easy as 1,2,3.” The website also states:

LegalFling is also good to have around when your fling turns into something steady. Think of a spicy photo or video you made with your partner. You don’t want that to go viral when the relationship ends. We’ve added these as extra possible clauses one should consent with before the act, so your fun is not shared with the rest of the world afterwards.
LegalFling is no joke — its website claims sex isn’t just about having a good time but it should “also be safe for everyone.” Users can also set a time duration for the contract if they are in long-term relationships.
Some options within the app include giving permission to take photos and videos, using protection, and clarifying that both parties are STD free. And yes, LegalFling’s owners say each contract is secured using blockchain technology — the same backbone behind cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
Google or Apple have not yet approved LegalFling, which has been in development since 2014, but its creators say in a matter of time the app will be ready for download.
