Can there be Absolute Truth?

I can remember quite clearly a time in my life when I believed no "one religion" could be the truth. I was an atheist and I believed that there were "pieces of the truth" in all faiths; but that there could not be one that was THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH. I must state that my logic was flawed because the very claim I was making that, "There cannot be one religion that is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH" is me claiming an ABSOLUTE TRUTH that my claim says cannot exist.
