Albuquerque police chief claims department can't find video of 19-yr-old woman police killed this week
ALBUQUERQUE — Albuquerque’s police chief said on Wednesday that the authorities had not been able to find conclusive videotape footage of the fatal police shooting this week of a 19-year-old woman who was the 24th person killed since 2010 by members of the department, which is under federal and state investigation for violating use-of-force rules.
Chief Gorden Eden said at a news conference that the officer’s lapel camera had not captured the shooting, but declined to say whether the officer had switched it on, as department policy required, once he confronted the woman, Mary Hawkes, early Monday morning.
Chief Eden would not say whether cameras worn by other officers in the area had filmed the shooting.
“We do know that we do have some video,” he said. “We have not seen all the video.”

A cop here in Aus, told me years ago, that the cops are merely a refection of the society they police.
True enough, really.
Albuquerque seems to be at the extreme end of this phenomenon, for the cops to have such a heavy toll on citizens' lives.
Me, NO friend of pigs, do ask though, if the People, have to get tough, on themselves, and start to Resist the lures and enforced 'cultural' trends, 'norms' and especially bad-bad-REALLY-bad laws, and other maladies, under which they cruise and sit lazy on their lounge-chairs.
If the culture and society beneath it is so out of control, in terms of how people THINK, then while cops should be addressing the laws they fail to uphold, they are well restrained from doing so, and, really, it's up to the People to get out and legally demand far far better laws.
Well passed time the US cops began a public campaign WITH The People, to re-address all their most important laws.
But, from down under here, there's a whole lot of 'commercial' rubbish Americans in general, have to face up to, and question, as to how much commerce has any say in government, but beneath 'government' in the laws, of, the, Land.
