Oprah Winfrey Jumps Ship – Refuses to Promote Obamacare
The New York Post reports:
As the White House was gearing up to sell ObamaCare to the American people last summer, Valerie Jarrett, the president's pointwoman on a host of issues, phoned Oprah Winfrey.
She invited the Queen of All Media to join celebrities, including Amy Poehler, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys, to meet with President Obama and discuss how they could generate publicity for his health-care law.
Oprah refused.
"All of Oprah's top people thought she would go, because when the president invites you to the White House, most people automatically say yes," said one of Oprah's closest advisers. "But Oprah said she didn't have the time or inclination to go. It wasn't like she had to think it over. It was an immediate, flat-out, unequivocal no."
Instead, Oprah sent a low-level rep from one of her talent agencies, which was regarded as a insult. Obama had been counting on Oprah's immense persuasive powers to help enroll millions in ObamaCare. But as the rollout turned into a disaster, Oprah didn't lift a finger to help.
The story of why Oprah has changed her tune and gone AWOL on ObamaCare goes well beyond mere gossip. It speaks volumes about the convergence of celebrity and politics under Obama and about a president who thinks nothing of using and then discarding his most loyal supporters.

Oprah is willfully ignorant. Just as it is wrong to be hateful towards someone for no other reason than the color of their skin, it is equally wrong to support someone in a position of public trust for no other reason than the color of their skin. Obama sucks because he is a LYING CRIMINAL. To ignore the facts that support the need to get him out of office now is highly irresponsible and downright stupid of Oprah. Her fans will most likely change their minds about trusting HER than re-establish trust in him.

Black leader to Oprah: Put up or shut up!
Black leader Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson is challenging Oprah Winfrey to put up or shut up.
Peterson, a columnist for WND and the president of the Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny, or BOND, cites Winfrey’s recent “outrageous claim that blacks in America are still terrorized by whites because of their race.”
“Oprah Winfrey is sending a destructive and racist message to black youth,” said Peterson in a statement Tuesday.
“I’m calling on Oprah to back up her claims and give proof of blacks being terrorized by whites. She can’t – because it’s not happening.”
Winfrey made the remarks in an interview with the BBC last Friday on the subject of her movie “The Butler.”
The only way for racism to disappear, she said, would be for “older [white] people who were born, bred and marinated in prejudice and racism to die.”

Excuse me, but the more I learn about Obamacare, the happier I am that Oprah flipped BHO the bird.
I'm sorry that the person she sent in her stead wasn't fresh from Africa with some horrible communicable disease that is usually fatal and not even pronounceable in English.
