Diana, I was 12 when I became politically aware, so school was both a lot of fun and a living hell. A defining moment was when a "social studies" (what happened to history class?) teacher, with whom I'd had numerous debates, talked about the "big (Nazi) lie" that communism is Jewish. I said that there's a reference work in our school library called "Hale's directory of Publications" and that the main publication for the Communist Party USA listed was not "The Daily Worker", but in fact "Jewish Affairs". He was so angry, as he felt the class was his own private socialist indoctrination camp, that he instructed another student, a girl (so I wouldn't attack her physically) to tear up my notebook, and sent me to the office. Inexplicably, shortly after, he had decided that he would be better off as a basketball coach in a neighboring county's school. But he had succeeded in creating one ultra-hardened National Socialist in his time at my school.

JR - Well, if he says so it must be true.  lol  Speaking of tests, when I was in the public education indoctrination system, I always had trouble with my conscious writing down what they wanted to hear rather than the truth.
